Bliss Agency Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Bliss? Where does it work? Who does it work with?
These are questions we receive every day. That is why we have gathered here the answers that relate directly to Bliss: who we are, how we work, whom we choose to work with and what it means to begin a partnership with us.
For everything relating to Advisory, Governance and Operations, however, we have built dedicated in-depth sections.
Bliss at a glance
What is Bliss Agency?
Bliss is a Brand Advisory, Brand Governance and Operations firm with offices in Rome and Milan. It works alongside CEOs, founders and boards of directors to define strategic decisions, govern them and apply those strategies in the market.
Is Bliss a marketing and communications agency?
Marketing and communications are part of Bliss’s operational capabilities, but they represent only one part of them.
Bliss’s model integrates Brand Advisory, Brand Governance and Operations. First the direction is defined, then the criteria needed to govern it are built, and that direction can then become design, communication, technology, performance and market activity.
When was Bliss founded?
Bliss was founded in 2023 to bring strategy, governance and execution together within a single system. From the outset, the aim has been to reduce the gap that often opens up between those who make a decision and those who must make it real.
Where is Bliss based?
Bliss has offices in Rome, at Via del Mandrione 63, and in Milan, at Via Brembo 5.
Does Bliss work only in Rome and Milan?
No. Rome and Milan are Bliss’s offices, while mandates may involve organisations, markets and projects elsewhere in Italy and abroad.
Does Bliss also work with international companies?
Yes. The model can be applied to organisations operating in one or more markets and to projects with an international dimension.
Who leads Bliss?
Direction of mandates remains with Bliss’s senior leadership. The team combines expertise in strategic direction, operations, design, SEO, production and content.
What is Bliss’s registered company name?
The company is Bliss S.r.l., with its registered office in Rome.
The Bliss Method
How does Bliss work?
Every Bliss mandate is read along a path made up of three disciplines: Advisory, Governance and Operations. Advisory defines the direction. Governance builds the system needed to protect it over time. Operations turn that direction into action.
What is the Bliss Method?
The Bliss Method is the system through which we support a decision along its entire course, from the moment it is defined to its application in the market.
Its aim is to prevent direction from losing coherence as it passes from the Board to teams, from teams to suppliers and from suppliers to operational activities.
What is Bliss’s proprietary framework?
It is the structure we use to organise complexity around four elements:
Problem. Solution. Value. Action.
The framework sits alongside the Bliss Method but serves a different function. The Method organises the overall journey; the framework provides a sequence through which to read and govern the decision.
What is the difference between Advisory, Governance and Operations?
Advisory works on the Problem and the Solution: it gathers evidence and builds the direction.
Governance protects Value, translating that direction into principles, responsibilities, criteria and control systems.
Operations turn the decision into Action through design, production, digital, SEO, performance, technology and other operational capabilities.
Do Advisory, Governance and Operations always have to be purchased together?
No. The entry point depends on the organisation’s situation.
When a strategic direction is already clear and sufficiently structured, it may be possible to work directly on Governance or Operations. When that clarity is missing, it may be necessary to work first on the diagnosis or the direction.
Can Bliss handle execution only?
Yes, when sufficiently clear criteria already exist to guide it.
Operations work best when every activity can be traced back to a defined direction. If that direction is missing or contradictory, the first intervention may concern Advisory or Governance.
Do I have to start with an Audit?
The Audit is often the starting point because it allows a diagnosis to be built before a solution is chosen. There are, however, situations in which an organisation already has sufficiently robust evidence, analysis and criteria to proceed differently.
Does Bliss make decisions on the client's behalf?
No. Ultimate responsibility remains with those who lead the organisation.
Bliss’s role is to raise the quality of the decision by bringing analysis, criteria, challenge and an external perspective capable of testing the available alternatives.
What does it mean that Bliss offers an external and independent perspective?
It means being able to examine a decision without depending on the internal dynamics that inevitably influence those who live inside an organisation every day.
That distance makes it possible to bring to the table elements that can be hard to see from within, compare alternatives and make consequences explicit before a choice is turned into structure.
Who we work with
Who does Bliss work with?
Bliss works with companies, groups and institutions that need to define, protect or transform a direction.
The scope covers organisations of different sizes and sectors, from SMEs to larger structured organisations and the Public Administration.
Does Bliss work with SMEs?
Yes. Bliss’s structure includes services and expertise that also apply to SMEs, when the nature of the decision and the level of complexity make our model useful.
Does Bliss work with public administration?
Yes. Bliss can work with public bodies and institutions when the mandate falls within its expertise and the conditions required to operate are met.
Does Bliss work with startups?
A startup can fall within Bliss’s scope when the nature of the decision and the maturity of the project make the kind of work we do useful.
Each case is assessed individually, taking into account objectives, structure, decision-making responsibilities and the terms of the mandate.
Does Bliss work in both B2B and B2C?
Yes. The Bliss Method concerns the quality of direction and the ability to govern it, so it can be applied to B2B and B2C models and to institutional organisations.
Market, audience, buying cycle and organisational structure change the work to be done, but not the principle it starts from.
Does Bliss specialise in a particular sector?
Bliss has worked in very different markets. Its core specialisation concerns how a direction is defined, governed and made real; sector-specific expertise then enters the mandate according to the industry.
Does Bliss work with family businesses?
Yes. Generational transitions, dependence on the founder and continuity of value are some of the issues Brand Governance can oversee.
Does Bliss work with companies that already have an in-house marketing department?
Yes. An in-house team can become part of the system that applies the defined direction.
Governance and frameworks also make criteria and decisions transferable to different people, departments and parties, without forcing them to reinterpret the strategy every time.
Can Bliss work alongside other agencies or consultants?
Yes. A mandate may involve in-house teams, external agencies, specialist consultants and other advisors.
The role of Governance is to enable different parties to work within shared criteria, keeping roles, responsibilities and direction clear.
CEOs, founders and Boards of Directors
Does Bliss work only with CEOs, founders and boards of directors?
The work involves many people across the organisation, but starting a new partnership requires the direct involvement of top leadership.
That is where the decisions capable of changing the company’s direction, investments and structure are taken, and so that is where the discussion must begin.
If I am not a CEO, can I contact Bliss?
A marketing director, head of communications, manager, advisor or another member of the organisation can make the first contact and present the case to us.
For the partnership to proceed, however, we ask that the CEO, founder or Board of Directors be directly involved in the decision-making process.
Why does Bliss ask for senior leadership to be involved?
Because a strategic decision has consequences that run throughout the organisation.
If Bliss is to help define the direction, it wants to engage with those who will also be responsible for approving it, backing it and answering for its consequences. The threshold therefore concerns accountability for the mandate, even before hierarchy.
Can a marketing or communications director be the project’s point of contact?
Yes. Operational and managerial staff often remain essential for providing information, coordinating the work and turning decisions into concrete action.
Senior leadership involvement concerns the decisions that define direction. Day-to-day management of the mandate may naturally involve the managers closest to each area.
Does the CEO have to attend every meeting?
Direct involvement of senior leadership concerns the moments when significant decisions are defined, validated or changed.
The composition of other working groups depends instead on the mandate, the responsibilities involved and the stage of the work.
Why does this rule matter for Bliss too?
Because accepting a mandate means taking on part of the responsibility for the consequences of the decisions that will be made.
Asking that those with real decision-making power sit at the table protects both parties from processes that produce strategy without the conditions to turn it into reality.
Starting a new partnership
How do I contact Bliss?
The point of entry is the section dedicated to new partnerships, accessible through the website.
The form gathers information on the organisation, the contact person, their role and their involvement in decision-making, to allow an initial reading of the case.
What should I cover in the first contact?
The starting point may be a problem, an opportunity, a transformation already planned or a potential collaboration.
We prefer to leave room for the organisation's real context, rather than forcing it straight into a service category.
What happens after the first contact?
The first conversation is for understanding the case and verifying whether the conditions exist to work together.
On Bliss’s side, the necessary members of senior leadership join the discussion; on the other side, we look for clarity on the decision to be addressed, on who is responsible for it and on the value the organisation wants to build.
Does contacting Bliss already commit me to a project?
No. The first conversation serves to establish mutual fit and the nature of the mandate.
A partnership begins only when the scope, responsibilities, objectives and working conditions are sufficiently clear.
Does Bliss accept every request to work together?
No. Every new request is assessed against the nature of the mandate and the conditions needed to generate value.
Selectivity works in both directions: stating that a project falls outside our remit can also protect the time, resources and expectations of both parties.
How much does it cost to work with Bliss?
There is no single price applicable to every mandate.
An Audit, an Advisory programme, ongoing Governance and an operational project can differ greatly in scope, duration, responsibilities and expertise. Fees are therefore defined once the necessary work is understood.
Does Bliss work on a project basis or through ongoing relationships?
Both models are possible.
Some engagements have a defined start and end, such as Audits or specific strategic projects. Others, such as Executive Advisory and certain forms of Governance, derive their value precisely from continuous oversight.
How long does a project with Bliss last?
It depends on the type of mandate.
A diagnosis, a Brand Strategy, a Governance programme and an Executive Advisory relationship involve different timescales and responsibilities. Duration is therefore defined according to what needs to be produced, governed or supported.
Can I contact Bliss for a single need?
Yes, if that need falls within Bliss’s expertise and can be addressed within a sufficiently clear scope.
During the initial assessment it may emerge that the problem is narrower, or broader, than it appeared at the time of first contact.
What happens if the problem is urgent?
Urgency is assessed together with the nature of the decision and the information available.
Shortening timescales may be necessary, but an important decision still needs sufficient criteria to be taken responsibly.
How a mandate is managed
Who actually runs the projects?
Bliss’s senior leadership directly oversees the direction of mandates, from the initial conversation to the decisions that define their course. Specialist expertise then comes in at the stages where it is needed.
Will I always work with the same people?
The composition of the team depends on the mandate, but responsibility and direction must remain identifiable throughout.
This makes it possible to integrate different skills without turning the project into a succession of disconnected points of contact.
Does Bliss use external collaborators or suppliers?
A project may require specific expertise, technologies or production capabilities.
When other parties come in, they must operate within the criteria set for the mandate, so that the presence of several parties does not lead to fragmentation.
Can Bliss coordinate the suppliers we already use?
Yes. One of the aims of Governance is to make a direction applicable even by suppliers and structures that Bliss did not choose directly.
The point is to build criteria clear enough for every party to know what can be done, how it must be assessed and who is responsible for the decision.
Does Bliss replace the in-house team?
It depends on the mandate.
In many cases the greatest value comes precisely from enabling the internal team to work better, with clearer direction, defined responsibilities and shared criteria.
How are results measured?
Metrics depend on the decision and the objective.
Growth, performance, expansion, efficiency, consistency, visibility or risk reduction may call for different indicators. This is why the measurement criterion must be defined together with the mandate, before its outcome is judged.
Where can I see the results Bliss has achieved?
The Case Studies section brings together projects and measurable results achieved across different organisations and markets.
Trust, accountability and transparency
Is Bliss certified?

Yes. The Code of Ethics sets out the principles that guide decisions, relationships, people, information management, use of technology and responsibility towards the outside world.
The five core principles are Responsibility, Rigour, Consistency, Autonomy and Lasting value.

Yes, when it can improve analysis, efficiency or operational capacity.
Strategic decisions, qualitative assessments and responsibility for the work, however, remain with people. The use of AI is also governed by Bliss's Code of Ethics.
