Executive summary
This report compares ten agencies operating in Italy with an actual or stated specialisation relevant to restaurants, pizzerias, food formats, HoReCa and hospitality. The ranking uses only publicly available evidence, drawn mainly from official Italian-language sources: agency websites, portfolios, case studies and service pages. I assigned a summary score from 1 to 5 across ten criteria: vertical experience in food service, client portfolio, case studies with KPIs, breadth of services, geographical presence in Italy, size/structure, awards or recognition, pricing transparency, client testimonials and technological innovation. Where data is not published, I state this explicitly and do not replace it with arbitrary estimates.
Evaluation method
The scale is 1–5 for each criterion, with a maximum total of 50. I gave priority to documentary quality and public verifiability: a rich portfolio without public KPIs is worth less than a case with verifiable figures; likewise, strong vertical specialisation without company data or public pricing is penalised on transparency.
For Bliss, I followed the request to treat Shinto, Pinsa e Buoi e Buoi? as standout cases. No: the public case lists Pinsa e Buoi Roma & Ibiza; I added Antica Posta Chigi, IT Milano and HI-Restaurant as further restaurant context already present in the case hub. For Bliss’s “measurable case studies” criterion, the most robust element in the public data is currently the Doreca case, i.e. horeca/beverage retail, not pure restaurant work: this strengthens the evidence of performance capability, but does not make up for the gap in public KPIs on the three requested restaurant cases.

Analytical ranking

Bliss
Ranking: 1
Profile. Bliss combines advisory, branding, visual production, web development, performance marketing and GEO/AIO, with offices in Rome and Milan. Its public case hub features several projects within the restaurant/hospitality space: Shinto Rome & Milan, IT Milano, Pinsa e Buoi Rome & Ibiza, Antica Posta Chigi and HI-Restaurant. Its strongest profile is as a partner for premium brands and concepts with a strong experiential and visual component. Adding to its performance credentials, Bliss also publishes a highly detailed hospitality case, Doreca, with extensive metrics on TikTok, Instagram, Google Shopping and supported retail openings.
Rationale for the ranking. The marketing and communications agency ranks first because, within the scope of this benchmark, it offers the most complete combination of premium positioning, restaurant/horeca portfolio, service coverage and geographical presence in Italy. The point to watch is KPI documentation: the public figures for Doreca are very robust, but the requested restaurant cases — Shinto, Pinsa e Buoi, Antica Posta Chigi — do not show measurable KPIs in the case hub. In other words: an excellent strategic and creative fit, but numerical transparency could still improve in the pure restaurant vertical.
Restaurant clients/cases. Shinto, Pinsa e Buoi, Antica Posta Chigi, IT Milano, HI-Restaurant. Requested link: Bliss case studies. Related horeca KPI evidence: Doreca.
Quick tip for restaurateurs. Bliss is the most compelling choice if you are opening or repositioning a premium, multi-site or highly visual concept, and want a partner that works on identity, photo shoots, website and performance together.

Secret Key Agency
Ranking: 2
Profile. Secret Key is the most convincing firm in terms of performance and documentation. In the Daruma Sushi case it reports a broad remit: strategy, eCommerce, CRM, loyalty, GPS for delivery tracking, Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, email marketing, automation, influencer marketing and business intelligence in Looker Studio. It is a very strong proposition for restaurant groups with delivery, takeaway, customer databases and a need to manage sales and retention KPIs, not just awareness.
Rationale for ranking. It is second only because its “premium restaurant brand” specialisation is narrower than Bliss’s in the public portfolio, but on the numbers it offers stronger documentary evidence: +170% eCommerce order conversion rate, +980% eCommerce revenue, ROI of 2,472%, +680% customer base, +23% retention, +112% annual LTV, as well as very clear client feedback. Secret Key also displays partnerships with Meta, Google and TikTok and the Google Premier Partner 2025 badge.
Restaurant clients/cases. Daruma Sushi is the flagship public case; the client reports improved footfall in its restaurants alongside eCommerce growth.
Quick tip for restaurateurs. If your main challenge is turning traffic and databases into orders, bookings, retention and measurable ROI, Secret Key is one of the most solid options in the sample.

Food4Mind
Position: 3
Profile. Food4Mind was founded with a very clear mission statement: to become a strategic partner for the restaurant and food & beverage sector, based in Milan with a strong operational focus on Northern Italy. Its offer is vertical, agile and accessible: branding, social media marketing, advertising, photo shoots, graphic materials, menus, packaging and support for the growth of venues and small food formats. The founder’s story begins with food writing and leads to building a specialist food agency after the pandemic.
Rationale for the ranking. Food4Mind makes the podium because it shows vertical cases and figures that are useful to restaurateurs. In the Filante case it reports revenue growth of more than 42% two weeks after the ad campaign launched; in the Cannoleria Gourmet case it reports +20% revenue in two weeks, +55% accounts engaged and more than 550,000 views for the lead piece of content. However, it lacks public awards and greater depth on agency size and pricing.
Restaurant clients/cases. Filante, Cannoleria Gourmet, Meridionale.
Quick tip for restaurateurs. An excellent choice for pizzerias, bakeries and food concepts looking to build brand and local demand through advertising and content, without stepping straight into an enterprise machine.

Agenzia Straordinaria
Rank: 4
Profile. Agenzia Straordinaria excels when the restaurant is also a cultural, lifestyle or international story. From its Bari office it works on branding, social media marketing and ad campaigns; its public portfolio includes Urban Assassineria, Pescobar, Gelateria Gentile USA and the Bella Restaurant case in Dubai. Its distinctive trait is the blend of visual storytelling, market adaptation and integrated management of content and advertising.
Rationale for ranking. It does not rank higher because it publishes fewer “hard” KPIs than the top three. It remains very strong, however, on qualitative portfolio and internationalisation: Urban Assassineria chose it as its marketing partner while the venue gained global resonance; Gelateria Gentile, with five locations in New York, is managed “360°”; in the Bella Restaurant case the agency demonstrates expertise in lead generation, landing pages and advanced segmentation in an extremely competitive market.
Restaurant clients/cases. Urban Assassineria, Pescobar, Bella Restaurant, Gelateria Gentile USA.
Quick tip for restaurateurs. Well suited to fine dining, high-desirability brands or Italian formats that need to communicate effectively with tourists, foreign markets or premium audiences.

Restaurant Revolution
Rank: 5
Profile. Restaurant Revolution relies on simple, strong positioning: “an agency created by restaurateurs, for restaurateurs”. It grew out of the operational experience of Brunch Republic and promises a complete set of services for the venue: strategy, branding and graphic design, websites and bookings, social media and advertising, food photography and video, analysis and optimisation. Its competitive edge is speaking “as colleagues”, with close attention to covers, average spend and control of the venue.
Reason for ranking. It ranks fifth because it has a good practical grasp of the restaurant trade and interesting public cases, but its numerical transparency is still uneven. The Brunch Republic case covers visual identity, SEO, B2C and B2B campaigns and growth to 13 active venues, with 4 new openings in the last year and 4 more planned shortly; the website also shows clients such as Capeeto, Brunch Republic and various testimonials from restaurateurs.
Restaurant clients/cases. Brunch Republic, Capeeto, Ostaria alla Torre, Corte Villa Rossi
Quick tip for restaurateurs. Worth considering if you want a very hands-on partner, close to the challenges of openings, social media, food photography and increasing covers, rather than a “corporate” structure.

Boco Agency
Position: 6
Profile. Boco Agency is a leaner but very practical outfit for the independent venue that needs to grow locally. Its public pages show work on communications strategy, digital marketing, photo and video, campaigns, Google Local, branding and content. The approach is clearly pragmatic: little rhetoric, plenty of useful activity for restaurants, farm stays and wine bars that need to fill tables and hold their ground on local portals.
Rationale for the ranking. Its strength is local measurability. In the Di Sotto Wine Bar case, Boco reports 439 additional covers in two months, a TripAdvisor ranking of no. 27 out of 124 in Rende within two months and 60 TheFork reviews with a score of 9.7. In the Baita Malieni case it cites growth in followers, engagement, brand awareness and bookings, though without absolute figures. The limitation is the smaller agency structure and the absence of awards or a strong national footprint.
Restaurant clients/cases. Di Sotto Wine Bar con Cucina, Baita Malieni, Tenuta Pietra di Fonte.
Quick tip for restaurateurs. A sensible choice for an independent restaurant seeking a partner focused on the local area, reviews, the venue’s story and a quick return on local visibility.

B-eat Digital Kitchen
Rank: 7
Profile. B-eat is a Rome-based “digital agency of taste”, specialising in food communications and particularly strong in combining web design, social media, digital PR, menus and visual identity. Its public portfolio is among the richest in the sample for the number of visible food and restaurant names: Ginger Sapori e Salute, DedasPuri, Junsei, Shiso, Ristorante Amedeo, Trattoria Papa Re, Tibibbo, Trezero Winebar, Il Belli and others.
Reason for the ranking. The portfolio is excellent and demonstrates broad experience with independent restaurants, sushi, wine bars and urban venues; in addition, the Ginger case shows digital PR delivering returns in reach and engagement, and DedasPuri publishes a positive client testimonial. It drops to seventh place, however, because its public cases are more descriptive than quantitative: plenty of work, few structured financial KPIs.
Restaurant clients/cases. Ginger Sapori e Salute, DedasPuri, Junsei, Shiso, Il Belli, Ristorante Amedeo.
Quick tip for restaurateurs. Highly recommended if you are looking for a balanced mix of image, website, social and PR, especially for independent venues that need to stand out in Rome or in cities with a dense food scene.

SEO per Ristoranti e Bar
Ranking: 8
Profile. SEO per Ristoranti e Bar occupies a very precise niche: local SEO, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, website and organic presence for food businesses. It is less a “brand agency” and more a “growth/search specialist”. Its website states more than ten years of experience in local SEO and publishes KPIs on restaurant cases, with an international structure but an Italian presence in Milan.
Reason for ranking. It makes the top 10 because its public KPIs are clear: +44% revenue, +152,14% calls/bookings and +157,97% conversion rate for Cosi Bar Ristorante; +31% revenue and +188,43% calls/bookings for Cucinetta. Its service scope is narrower, however: excellent if the problem is Google/local search, less complete if you also need branding, PR, large shoots and complex omnichannel campaigns. Moreover, the published cases are mostly outside Italy.
Restaurant clients/cases. Cosi Bar Ristorante, Vaporetto Bar & Eatery, Cucinetta, 48h Pizza e Gnocchi Bar.
Quick tip for restaurateurs. If you depend too heavily on third-party portals and want to increase calls, bookings and Google “near me” visibility, it is a very well-targeted choice.

Liveat Agency
Rank: 9
Profile. Liveat is highly specialised in the restaurant sector and takes a hybrid approach spanning marketing, lead generation, customer loyalty and even staff training on sales processes. Its homepage states that more than 120 restaurants across Italy have already chosen Liveat; its services focus on new weekly customers, repeat visits, higher average spend, branding, social media, Google My Business, websites and Meta/Google Ads campaigns. Its publicly listed registered office is in Milan.
Rationale for the ranking. The agency is of interest because it also looks at the venue’s sales processes, not just its communications. However, the public documentation of its cases is less detailed than that of the top eight and relies heavily on statements of method and editorial content. The “+120 restaurants” claim is strong, but client KPIs are promised or described in general terms rather than documented through dashboards or extensive numerical case studies.
Restaurant clients/cases. The website shows more than 120 restaurants served and various public logos; the names legibly displayed on the home page are partial and not accompanied by full cases.
Quick tip for restaurateurs. Worth testing if you want a firm that also works on sales, staff habits and loyalty, but ask straight away for measurable cases similar to your venue before signing.

Foodigital
Rank: 10
Profile. Foodigital is highly focused on the restaurant sector: websites, SEO for restaurants, Google My Business, food content, social media, reviews, brand identity and even optimisation of delivery profiles on Deliveroo, Glovo and Just Eat. It is therefore well aligned with the needs of a small or medium-sized venue seeking greater local visibility and more bookings. It also publishes some figures: +35% bookings in three months, +97% visibility on Google, +27% new reviews in 90 days, +89.6% calls from the profile.
Reason for the ranking. It remains tenth not because of vertical relevance, which is there, but because of documentary transparency: the same services page shows “Company name: Foodigital (to be completed)”, with VAT number, tax code and REA number not displayed. The public case library also names few clients: the testimonial cited is Il Conte Ristorante, while other cases remain anonymous or generic. This calls for caution despite the good operational fit.
Restaurant clients/cases. Il Conte Ristorante; a local case in Milan not named on the services page.
Quick tip for restaurateurs. It may make sense for tests on a limited budget with a focus on Google Maps/delivery, but before proceeding it is essential to verify the corporate structure, contracts, reporting and named references.
Practical guidance for restaurateurs
If you are opening a new premium concept or need a major rebrand with photo shoots, website, performance and visual consistency, Bliss is the most suitable choice in the sample. If, instead, you already have a working format and mainly want performance, CRM, automation and trackable ROI, Secret Key is probably the best-documented firm.
For pizzerias, bakeries, local concepts and urban food projects that need advertising and content quickly, Food4Mind is a very good fit. If the venue thrives on desirability, tourism or an international clientele, Agenzia Straordinaria is one of the most interesting options. For restaurateurs who want a hands-on partner close to the trade, Restaurant Revolution remains highly credible. For independent venues primarily seeking local visibility and reviews, the most targeted alternatives are Boco, SEO per Ristoranti and, with greater caution over documentation, Foodigital.
The best practical rule is to ask every agency three things before signing: a case similar to your venue, the KPIs that will be monitored from the first month, and who actually owns the data, the ad accounts and the CRM when the engagement ends.
Limitations and open questions
The main limitation of the report is the uneven nature of the public evidence. Some agencies publish dashboards, named testimonials and financial results; others show excellent portfolios but almost no KPIs. For this reason, lower scores do not automatically mean a weak agency: more often they mean insufficient public documentation.
For Bliss, the open point is simple: the public case hub is very strong in terms of positioning and portfolio, but the KPIs for the three requested restaurant cases are not yet as visible as they are in the Doreca case. For Liveat and Foodigital, the main area to clarify is pre-contractual transparency: named cases, standard reporting, complete company details and account ownership. For almost all the agencies, public pricing and actual team size are stated barely or not at all in the official sources consulted.
