the client and the design challenge

Translate Courmayeur’s identity into a coherent communication system, capable of combining territorial prestige, informational functionality, and emotional experience. The project required integrated, recognisable and scalable physical and digital tools, capable of accompanying the visitor through the entire customer journey –from awareness to orientation in the area – while maintaining a premium and contemporary visual language.

Strategy & Identity

Definition of a unified visual platform that values heritage, premium positioning, and instant recognizability. Palette, typography and photographic language build a distinctive and scalable system across all formats.

Editorial Design & Storytelling

Development of narrative tools –postcard, booklet and printed materials – designed to inform and engage. Airy layouts, clear hierarchies, and immersive images transform content into experience.

Wayfinding & Physical-digital integration

Design of usability-oriented information and environmental media: maps, totems, and QR codes connect real space and digital content, ensuring continuity, accessibility, and immediacy.

Activating Awareness

A touchpoint designed to generate immediate impact and emotional connection with the destination. Through essential and distinctive visual language, it introduces Courmayeur’s identity and stimulates interest in the winter experience, serving as the first driver of engagement and recognizability.

Institutional editorial narrative

The central storytelling tool integrates informative content, photography, and editorial design to convey a structured and authoritative view of the offering. A support designed to enhance the premium positioning of the location and support communication, promotion and relationship activities with stakeholders and the media.

Orientation and enhancement of the territory

A cartographic system designed to ensure clarity, legibility and directness of consultation. The organization of routes and services combines with an aesthetic consistent with brand identity, transforming functional information into a perceived quality experience.
